Our Statewide Student Day of Poetry has been broke up into five regional events for 2015. You are now perusing the BOSTON event! 

On Tuesday, December 15, Mass Poetry’s Student Day of Poetry is taking over UMass Boston! SDOP features a morning poetry sampler, writing-generative workshops, performances, readings, and a student open mic. We’ve got something for everyone, from the student who isn’t even sure they like poetry to the senior leading the after-school poetry club.

This workshop will explore the intersection of spoken word/performance poetry as activism. Through videos, discussion, writing and performance, we will examine the ways this craft may be used for whatever battles in which we find ourselves engaged.
